Continuing Medical Education

Tahoe Wilderness Medicine has partnered with the Wilderness Medical Society to offer continuing medical education (CME) credits for medical professionals. We also offer California continuing education credits for Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.  Our courses offer Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine  (FAWM) core and elective credits.

Our courses combine outdoor recreation pursuits including: backcountry skiing, avalanche skills, climbing / mountaineering, rafting kayaking, etc. with pertinent wilderness medicine topics. We are starting with a winter focus this year and plan to expand as the seasons change. If you are interested in combining your favorite outdoor activity with your need for interesting and practical CME's contact us to arrange a custom course.
